How a Collection Works

Two checks, every time: the prep room releases the child, then reception confirms the parent's code.

RegisterThe teacher chooses their room, checks in for prep and ticks the children who are staying.

Parent arrivesThe parent enters the child's name and collection password on their phone.

Alert & releaseThe teacher is alerted (computer, phone or text) and presses Check out.

Code appearsA three-letter code appears on the parent's phone. The child walks to reception.

Code confirmedReception types the code from the parent's phone. Only a match hands the child over.

Try the Whole Flow

Easiest with three screens: a computer for the prep room, and two phones (parent and reception).

  1. Computer: Prep room sign-in → choose Room 8 → check in → tick children → confirm.
  2. Phone 1: scan this code, open Parent, check in as a Year 3–5 child.
  3. Computer: the dashboard alerts you. Press Check out.
  4. Phone 2: Reception → sign in → tap the child → type the code shown on phone 1.
  5. Phone 1: shows "Collected".

This is a test system with made-up pupils. Passwords aren't shown here; ask Mark for them. The Demo bar only appears after this page has been opened, so parents never see it.
